SIP funding is available for a maximum of 50 hours per SIP placement. This time may be organised either as a short ‘block’ or more flexibly over 1-12 months. University staff apply for this financial support to buy-out their time from day to day duties, along with all justifiable UK travel and subsistence costs. The four institutions offer a wide range of expertise and have access to cutting edge research and vast resources, ensuring that partner organisations gain maximum benefit from the placement opportunity. Where a placement has been successful and a good relationship established, an application for further funding may be available from a number of sources to contribute towards follow-on collaboration. Further information about these schemes, many of which are only available by working with Universities, and assistance with applications is available from the Knowledge Transfer teams at each institution. |
